    The museum holds the biggest art gallery representing the most important Schools from the XII-XIX centuries. The Spanish painting from the 19th century is at the Casón del Buen Retiro.

    This museum houses the best and major collection of pictures belonging the Baron Hans Heinrich Thyssen Bornemisza. It includes 800 pictures painted by the great Masters and their Schools since the 12th century back to our days.

    One of the best preserved palaces in Europe. The Royal Palace is a must of the XVII and XVIII's Art styles. Inside: pictures, frescos, clocks, furniture, tapestries and porcelain. The changing of the Royal Guard at the Plaza de la Armería takes place every Wednesday at 12 p.m., unless there is some official event or during July, August and September. System of illumination of the Royal Palace: the Palace is completely lightened every Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 20:30 until 24:00

    Beetwen Ribera de Curtidores and surroundings streets. Timetable: each Sunday from 10:00 until 14:00h. Underground: Tirso de Molina or Puerta de Toledo Popula Street Market with great tradition. It is held every Sunday. The adjacent shops also open their doors on Sundays.

    Square with beautiful porches built between 1617 and 1619 the Plaza Mayor has been the scene of most of the public events in Madrid since the 17th century.
